Laser
protection
film
The
laser protection film
can be applied to the inspection windows in order to prevent the
emission of
laser radiation, provided the measuring head is at least at a
distance of
1.70 m from the window. The films, which are 17 % transparent,
are
equipped with a mirror reflection coating and a grey filter layer. The
reflection coating is installed pointing in the direction of the laser
hazard.
With adequate illumination of the hazard area, the area can be
monitored from
the outside. The self-adhesive films can only be applied by specialist
staff,
because a clean surface is required. They must not be cleaned using
aggressive
solvents.
If a minimum distance smaller than 1,700 mm can only be realised, it is
also
possible to stick two films on top of each other, or a laser protection
glass
of a higher protection class can be used in order to fulfil the safety
requirements.
