Reference measuring device Surfix FN

The reference measuring device Surfix FN is a hand-held measuring device, which combines the eddy current principle and the magnet measuring principle in a single device. This allows the thickness measurement of coatings on non-ferrous metals, iron or steel. The Surfix FN consists of a hand-held part and a cable-bound sensor for measuring the coating thickness on a level surface. Using the reference measuring tool, calibrations for the PaintChecker modular can be made. For this, the absolute coating thicknesses, as determined by the Surfix FN, are entered into the calibration mask of the PaintChecker, and a calibration with the measured PaintChecker data is carried out. The reference measuring tool is distinguished by its simple and easy to use operation. The measuring values required for the calibration are shown at the same time on the display and can be copied rapidly without much handling of the calibration template being necessary. For non-metallic substrates, metallic measuring plates have to be applied to the substrate and coated at the same time as the substrate is coated. On the measuring platelets, the reference measuring tool can then be used for measuring because a metallic substrate is available.
